Metastasis are the most common skull neoplasms, of which 60% are from breast and lung carcinoma. Many other neoplasms metastasis to the skull including prostate, kidney, uterus, colon. However, skull metastasis of primary hepatocellular carcinoma are very rare. This lesion is extremely hypervascular and so caution must be exercised prior to biopsy and potential bleeding complication must be kept in mind. Skeletal metastasis from hepatocellular carcinoma are destructive expansile lesions associated with large bulky soft tissue masses on CT scans. Magnetic resonance ¢¥imaging is even more sensitive than CT in the detection of brain metastasis. The prognosis for patients with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma is improving. The median survival of less than 3-4months has reported to have increased to over 12months with multimodaliry treatment. We describe out experience with one patient with skeletal metastasis as the dominent clinical manifestation of hepatocetl.ular carcinoma.
